Drew: "Mom, why does the world spin . . . but we aren't spinning?"
Mom: (knowing I should know the answer to this question, but nothing coming) Silence.
Drew: "Oh I think I know. The outside of the Earth is spinning, but the inside is not."
Mom: (Still searching my brain for any sort of knowledge on the subject) Silence.
Drew: "You want to know how I knew that? I know that because . . . I'm an Artist!"
Oh to be 6 . . . an artist . . . and to know the answers to everything!

My little T-Ball Star!!
I don't know that he is going to be the next Babe Ruth . . . but he sure has had a fun time. Here are some of my favorite things from watching Drew play T-Ball this year.
1. Watching Drew strike up conversations with the other teams players as he makes it around the bases.
2. Watching Drew daydreaming in the outfield while his teammates and coaches yell, "Drew, pay attention!" while balls roll pass him.
3. Listening to Drew, who probably thought it was just part of the game, yell "Pay attention!" to all the rest of his teammates who actually do pay attention.
4. Seeing Drew slide into home . . . on accident.
5. Seeing Drew hit the ball. He was pretty good at hitting the ball!!!
6. The best part was seeing my confident boy . . . make it around the bases feeling proud of himself, not being able to wait to come give me a hug and receive praise for his sweet talents!!
Drew I love you!!! I totally think you are a T-Ball star!!!!

Drew is funny too!!!
Usually I am posting funny things that Ada or Hayden are saying, but my oldest boy can say some pretty funny things too! He is as funny as the rest of them.
Yesterday I was cleaning and Drew was playing with the hose outside with Ada. He decided to come in and get his swimming suit on. He was a little frustrated because he couldn't find it. He started nagging me, asking where it was. I was a bit busy and I turned and called out, "I don't know off the top of my head."
Drew yells back completely serious, "You don't know if it's on top of your head?"
Yep, he is a funny one, and I laugh every time I think about his reply!
