Too much downtime

You all know that when I have too much downtime I am usually found out in the garage doing some project. Just yesterday I spent 5 hrs. sanding the last piece of Nate and Kendra's bedroom set. They did the rest of it when they were engaged but this dresser has been sitting in their garage for six years. I told them I would love to do it if Kendra would help me with making two quilts for Drew and Hayden's beds. This changing table was pretty easy to make and I was wondering if any of you think it would sell if I put it on ksl or ebay or something? How much would I even ask for something like that? It took me maybe 6 hrs. to build. Well, The little bed that you see in the pic is Hayden's new bed that is on wheels and as soon as he will show us that he will sleep in it consistently we will put it under Drew's bed as a trundle. They are getting quite the log bedroom set and I love making this stuff.

More pics of Ada

She and Mom are doing great. I finally had to go back to work this past weekend. I took two weeks off and had a blast with my the boys going fishing, geocaching and we even went sledding up in the mountains twice.

Ada Ruth Mack

Ada was born Tuesday morning January 22 at about 7:30. She weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz and is 20 inches long. Mary is doing well after the C-section. Here are a few more pictures that we took when Grandma and Grandma came to visit. We even got her to open her eyes. She has quite a bit of dark her, especially in the back. Her parents absolutely adore her as well as the boys. They have been loving having a new baby sister in the home!

I took Drew and Hayden up on the road to Kolob Reservoir today with the sled and we had a great time sledding. I pulled them in the sled up the road a ways when we got to the point where they had stopped plowing. At that point it changes to switch backs and is used for snowmobiles only. The road was very steep and, according to my gps watch, I towed them almost a mile and it took us about 35 minuets. Hayden had a great time until it was time to come back down and then he wasn't so excited. He cried most of the way down as we all piled into the sled and actually picked up some pretty good speed in some spots. We got down the hill in about ten minuets and it was a blast as you can tell from the photos. The little video was a small hill by our car that Drew wanted to go down. We can't wait to move back up north where you don't have to drive for 45 minuets just to go sledding.

It's a snake cake

Happy birthday Hayden. He was born one year and 364 days before Ada. Broc raised the bar for ever with the birthday cake making contest. I was going to make a train or something but when I saw these snakes on the internet I just had to make one. It is two bunt cakes cut into quarters glued together with chocolate icing. Then I covered it with cool whip icing and I made the Diamonds out of chocolate chips. It was a lot of fun but we had two much left over. Hayden and Drew loved it!
