Yesterday Lamon gave a talk in church, and he mentioned Jim. Throughout the rest of the day I kept on thinking about him. I miss Jim. I am so grateful that he is my brother, and that I could have the time with him that I did on this Earth. Sometimes I think it will make it easier to just not think about him, and for a long time I almost got mad when Lamon would bring him up. But I have since found that the times I am most comforted are the times that I just let myself remember him, and laugh and share memories with others about him. Yesterday, as I was thinking about him, I just had an overwhelming feeling that I want to be better and live better than I am right now because I know Jim wants me to! I can't wait until I see him again.
On a different note . . . a bit less sentimental . . .
I am very grateful for Flatirons! :) Who wouldn't be if they had the thick monstrous hair that I do?
What a fabulous invention!!

your before picture is AWESOME! it totally made me laugh!
I'd love some of your hair volume!
About the loss of siblings -- it's hard. Fearsome hard. Even years later. Sometimes I feel really sad that my sister Beth couldn't be here to raise kids with me... but hey, we have eternity. Who knows how that will be like, but I imagine it is awesome.
LOL! Haa haa haa haa! I'm grateful for your flat-iron too. Hee hee :)
I miss Jim too. I'm happy to read that you feel the same way as I do. I get mad sometimes too.
Hey Mary,
I really liked your hair before you flat ironed it, it was the lack of make up that wasn't so good. ha ha ha just kidding you're beautiful and totally skinny, but it looks like you and Lamon are pretty active and who wouldn't be with all those kiddlies.
mary, you make me laugh! Those are awesome pictures. Can't wait to hang out this summer. Ang
You are adorable. The 'before' pic made me laugh. Yay for flat irons!
P.S. Thanks for sharing your feelings about Jim. Your kids are missing out on experiences with a great uncle. I am so sorry. I am grateful for the knowledge that families are forever.
That is awesome, Yeah for Flat Irons. Your hair cut is so cute! but your hair does look awesome in the other picture.
I am so glad there are other people out there with hair like mine. Can you believe we went so many years without flat irons. I think that is why I shy aways from my kid pictures- ha, ha!
I think you should come to church without straitening your hair sometime. See if anybody says anything. I bet you one of my home-cooked meals to do it!
It's crazy how much I miss Jim. He was my best friend in the world and understood me better than anyone else. I'm amazed at how much help father in heaven can give us when dealing with loss, and how much help he has given me. I can't wait to see Jim again.
I Would sell a kidney to have hair like that!
It was great to see you guys, do come again!
